hi, can anyone tell me how to update my reminders app? I accidentally clicked that I had updated it when I first opened it and now cannot work out for the life of me how to do this. Can someone help please?

thanks so much for your helpful reply. I did look at the app store updates however found that only an update for the WhatsApp was available, not for reminders. Are you able to help any further? I am not sure how to find the update for reminders?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are trying to find out how to update the Reminders app on your MacBook Air.
When you open the App Store, you will see an Updates button at the top of the window towards the right. Click on that and you should see all available updates. You'll see the option to update from there. Check out Update macOS and apps for details and screenshots if needed.

In order to upgrade Reminders, you need to upgrade to macOS Catalina or later as mentioned here: Upgrading the Reminders app in iOS 13 or later - Apple Support
Check your MacBook Air model and year using this link: Identify your MacBook Air model - Apple Support
Then if possible, you can upgrade macOS: How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support
Since you are on macOS High Sierra, you may be able to go right to macOS Catalina: "macOS Catalina 10.15 can upgrade Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks"
