I need to update my MacBook Pro to 10.13.6 or later!

I got my MacBook Pro new in 2016 and it runs MacOS Sierra 10.12.6. I need to update to 10.13.6 or later in order to download an app I need for school. However, I can not find any software updates on my computer or in the app store. What can I do?
