NFC smart ring compatibility. I wish Apple would add this functionality.

A relative purchased a NFC ring for me. And stated the device specification indicated it would function with an IPhone. I have loaded and attempted to use several applications in the App. store to no avail. The IPhone settings menu’s have no settings for this type of device and can find no NFC related activity except for usage with Ipay. If anyone has any knowledge on how to use smart ring NFC devices on the IOS platform, please let me know. If no capability exists, it would be nice if Apple would add this functionality to appease it’s customers.
