iPhone contacts goes missing randomly

About 2 months ago I noticed that one of my contacts went missing on my iPhone. I did a full restore and it came back. Today, I wanted to add another number to this contact, and yet again this contact is missing. I did not delete the contact. I know I can restore to a previous version but that will overwrite any new contacts I've added. The contact in question is called "Spam Stuff" and contains lots of numbers. So either this is a bug that delete contacts with lots of numbers or I have a different application loaded that will delete this contact. The only software installed that could do this is TrueCaller, but as far as I know it is not allowed to delete contacts. Please assist in a way I can restore only that one contact and not overwrite all my contacts.

Contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other

If Contacts on iCloud, try this --> Restore contacts, calendars, bookmarks and more using ...

  1. How many Contacts account (email client server) you have?
  2. What is your default Contacts Account?
  3. Which email account you are using to store Contacts?

  • See the GIF below for Contacts and Default Account

  • Learn how to add an email account and make it default (Watch the GIF)
  • This example is for Gmail but the process remains same for all Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other

Hi thanks for the reply but that is not the answer or any help other that what was already available on the net.

I'm using iCloud, as that is also the reason I've posted the problem on apple's website. I'm only syncing contacts to iCloud.

The contact (1-3) disappears completely from my phone and all other devices, this includes the iCloud library. The only way I can get it back is with a full iCloud contact restore. This is what I do not want to do, as it will overwrite the newest contacts.

The problem is with apple as I see I delete true caller thus that can't be the culprit.
