Why does the facetime icon appear in some of my contacts but not all in my Apple 11?

Your Mobile Plan does not matter. As long as you do not have the same phone number. The problem is probably that you use the same Apple ID. If your phone number is linked to your shared Apple ID, this is why she can FaceTime you from contacts. Since her phone number is not part of "your" Apple ID, this may be why you can not see her as a FaceTime user in the contacts. How you can call her from the FaceTime app I have no good answer.


Sharing 1 Apple ID is not a good idea. I would recommend she gets her own Apple ID, also you can possibly. use family sharing so she still has access to the apps you purchased.

If the contact you are looking at has FaceTime turned on, it will appear in your contact. If they do not, then you will not be able to see the FaceTime icon.
