airpods id

hi Guys

I'm having an issue with my Airpods ID

I had an old phone stolen and was unlocked

i kept it open for a few weeks and tracked the thieves

but in the meantime my ID appears to be compromised, notably with the Airpods where the thieves ID and name come up with the ID on the Airpods

firstly I changed the name of the device (Airpods) old name reappears

so wiped device in "forget this device" and did a full reset on on the Airpods. Same deal. this unwanted ID appears again. I've done this several ways and still no luck, the ID appears to be generated from a settings some where, but I've not been able to find it

any ideas welcome
