How do I get external editor to work with Photos v6

How do I get external editors to work with Apple Photos v6. There is no option to open extension under edits

MacBook Pro 13″, 11.1

Hi

If your external editor is set up properly, it should appear in the menu from the "3 dots in a circle" icon, when in edit mode, as shown below.

Your external editor needs to have the capability to be set up as a photos plugin.

Thanks for your prompt response. I couldn't find it as I got there by downloading the External Editors for Mac app which has a video showing an Extensions button at the foot of the list of edit options. Now Photos now comes with an inbuilt ability to select external editor extensions the app is no longer required but that fact is not mentioned anywhere.
