After updating my HomePod mini to version 14.4 I'm seeing constant connectivity issues with Music on my Mac. It'll connect initially, then drop halfway through a song and fail to reconnect multiple times. Restarting Music (1.0.6.10) on the Mac will sometimes allow it to reconnect but it drops again after a song or so and will again fail to reconnect after multiple attempts.
Curious if others are seeing issues since the update.

Open the Home App - go to the Room it’s in
Long press on the HomePod icon to bring up settings, scroll down to the gear icon, tap that, scroll to the bottom to Reset HomePod - then select Restart HomePod
I rather think Anthony would have meant you setting address reservations within your router such that your HomePod and computer are always given the same network addresses on your local network. The external IP address of your router can remain dynamic, no need to apply for a static address from your ISP. That wouldn't help.

I called about apple myself around the time when you said this comment. The representative (Anthony) said that this is an issue that they are seeing and their engineers are working on it. He said that it will probably be fixed in the next update, if they don’t do an update specifically for the HomePod mini to fix it.
Yes! When I updated both my iPhone and the HomePod mini to 14.4, the handoff and the transfer of music feature stopped working. I am not even able to transfer the song like I used to do it before the update by bringing the phone next to HomePod mini.
No haptic feedback. Nothing of the sort. Called Apple stayed on line for 2 hours. But they couldn’t even figure out how to fix this issue. Though I’m sure they know it’s an issue all over.
That's much more likely the case. You can have your router assign specific IPs to specific devices (like your HomePod mini) rather than assigning them dynamically. I have such setup on my home network, while my external IP remains dynamic. Certainly no charge to do that. Though I don't see it having an impact on connectivity issues like this.

I also called and spent an hour with support. They fixated on my wifi and deadass told me to go out and buy a new router when we just upgraded our home wifi system a month ago and every other device in the house is working except this HomePod mini; even said sometimes the router's firmware will crash the system which I found funny because it's Apple's firmware that made it stop working in the first place.
Did not get anywhere with support at the end, waste of time and money.
When I called, Anthony had me tell him everything that was wrong (it also wasn’t working with personal requests and he was the 4th rep I had called within a months time) and after going through all the different things he told me that my best bet was to set up a Static IP address on my network (which, btw, is $10 activation and then $20 a month with my provider) and I just told him to let me know if there was any other way to fix this cause I ain’t paying that much for a speaker.
