Help! 12GB of 16GB is System and Other

Will resetting my iPhone 6s and restoring the backup settle the system and Other storage "eating up" my storage?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 14

System should be about 6 and Other about 4GB unless you have a lot of data which is outside the normal categories.

Check Settings, General, iphone storage and check all recommendations.

So I am saying it may be absolutely correct but you can spend a few hours on the following to lose 2GB


Backup and restore

(1) How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch – Apple Support

(2) Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support

(3) Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
