How does AppleCare cover lost AirPod Pros ?

What is the coverage for lost AirPod Pros with AppleCare? What’s the point of being charge and extra $29 if there gonna make you pay for replacement pairs ?

It doesn't. AppleCare for them extends the warranty by another year and adds accidental damage coverage, not loss or theft.
