Scratchy sound from laptop
My speakers on laptop are scratchy, can it be fixed without taking it in to store?
Most likely one or both of the speakers are bad. You will need to have the laptop repaired. In the mean time you can try using the "Balance" slider in the Sound System Preferences to determine if one of the speakers is good and use just that one good speaker until the laptop can be repaired. Within the Sound System Preferences click on the "Output" tab to find the balance slider.
