iPhone 12 not sending emails

Just got the iPhone 12 and now I can’t send emails. I can receive them, but keep getting an error message saying my password is incorrect of I try to send an email. In my searches it says something about IMAP no longer works with two factor authentication, but doesn’t say what the fix is.
