rte player and Lightning adapter to HDMI

i have bought the genuine Lighting to HDMI adapter as I wanted to play film from the RTÉ player on my phone on my big TV. It won’t work. I can get audio and the length of the film but no pictures. It does show the opening pages of the Player.

is this a licensing issue as I am in Northern Ireland and Apple is blocking as I am in the UK? Netflix works fine.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you need help playing a video from a third party app through an HDMI adapter. Since Netflix works okay we know the adapter and the iPhone both work okay. Contact the RTÉ Player app developer for help with this issue: How to contact an app developer.
