Regarding replacement of laptop with an ipad pro .

Being a computer science student can someone replace his laptop with an ipad pro. I am asking this because I am planning to buy one of them however i am more inclined towards ipad pro because of its portability but if it will not do the work then there will be no meaning of buying ipad and by work i mean coding and all that stuff that a computer science student needs to do.
