Please enable Telephoto to Ultra Wide lens choice toggles for Facetime, WhatsApp, Signal, Skype video calls

Even if the first iteration of the feature doesn’t let us toggle the lens during a video call...

...Can we have the choice as a toggle switch in SETTINGS as a stop gap measure please?

We already know it can be done because apparently the first iteration of iOS for iPhone 11 Pro was stuck on the ultra wide camera for video calls.

Choosing the ultra wide angle lens is really useful for video call walkabouts, tours of the hotel room, corridors, house you live in, pointing the camera at the person sitting beside you etc.

Choosing the telephoto lens is really useful for drawing attention to a detail you want to talk about.

And of course all the other reasons we want to use different lenses are just as valid when we are deliberately communicating with a video call rather than audio only.

Surely this is obvious? How many times have we been on a video call, and used the back camera, and it’s either not wide enough so we have to pan ...or the thing we are pointing at is too small?

These are regular occurrences on video call for me anyway. 🙂

Anyone else?
