Hi! Is there anyone experienced heating at the lower camera part of their phones?

Hello J2794,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand the concern with your iPhone getting warmer than expected, and we'd be happy to look into this with you.

There are some situations when your iPhone feels warmer, such as after a software update, or when using graphics-intensive apps or features. However, the iPhone has the ability to protect its internal components if the interior temperature exceeds the normal operating range.

Have you received any temperature warnings? If not, is there a case on your iPhone? If so, we’d recommend seeing if you notice any difference without the case.

Also, check out this helpful link:

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.

Thank you for your response.

When the heating happened, I don’t have any case on my phone. Just using it for messenger that time, then suddenly it happened.

i also noticed that the battery life was shorter than expected. Example, from 7am to 7pm, for messaging and taking photos (maybe an hour for photos) makes my battery drain.. Considering that I’m not using the phone for watching videos, I’m kinda concern if its normal for iphone 12 pro max..
