Keynote: Bullet points were added to my ENTIRE deck.

(Example slide attached) I don't know what I did, but bullet points, bullet indents, and text indents were added to every line of my deck. I'm not exaggerating here. EVERY line of my deck.

One thing I noticed is that in my "list styles" dropdown list, the "ninguno" option (my company laptop is in Spanish and I keep it that way to make collaborative projects easier), which translates to none and is normally is blank, has a bullet style.

I couldn't find anything online and my IT and Creative department couldn't fix it either. Command+Z didnt work when the error first occurred.

Has anyone run into this issue or does anyone know any solutions? I'd very much like to avoid going through 100+ slides to manually remove each bullet point and reset each indent.

Thank you!

Try to obtain a previous copy of the presentation, two ways to do this:

  1. go to your back up (Time Machine or other type of back up of your work files)
  2. in Keynote go to: File > Revert to > Browse All Versions then use the browser to go back in time to retrieve a previous saved version

Thanks! I dont know why I or my IT + Creative team didnt think of doing this.

So, everything is back to normal, but whenever I try to add new text, the new text automatically has a bullet point, bullet indent, and text indent. Do you have a fix for this? I checked the preferences and settings of both this deck and other decks and there doesnt seem to be any differences except for the "ninguno" point that I made in my initial post. (screenshot below)

Eventually, I went back to my very first version, where the bullet point/indent/text indent doesnt show up in new text and decided to just start over and copy-and-paste deck assets.
