Quicktime trim option greyed out

Hi I've just been editing 8 screen recordings, and number 5 has the majority of the menu options greyed out. Its the only recording with an issue, and I can't see that its locked or any different to the other .mov files I was trimming, but equally I don't know what I'm looking for! I'm on Catalina 10.15.7 and Quicktime 10.5. Thank you!

Hello littlelucinda,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

If we understand your post correctly, the Quicktime trim option is greyed out on one of your recordings. We're happy to help!

Have you tried force closing Quicktime?
