Can I use a backup from old iOS 9.3.5 to transfer content to my new iPad 10

Your backup is for a 32-bit Operating System - and may not be compatible with the newer 64-bit devices. I have never attempted to restore a backup for such an old device/iOS version to iPadOS14.x.


You might be best advised to follow Apple’s guidance for transferring data from old to new...
