Apple Pay Drafted and Sitting in Limbo

I sent $20 to my niece for her b-day through ApplePay via text. She received it in her messages, but since she is 16 years old, it won't allow her to accept it. It has drafted from my bank account and posted (no longer pending). How can she get the money, or how can I get it back?

Her parents or guardians need to set up Apple Cash family.

To set up Apple Cash Family you must first close any accounts that children already had.
