Amount of rain listed in weather app
There is an option in the weather app that lists inches of rain. Is that rain that HAS fallen (historic), or is it rain predicted for the future?

The weather app is provided by The Weather Channel folks. You can double-check with them, but I believe it indicates the amount already fallen and would be from a weather station source that you have chosen ... which may not be close to you.

If you prefer having predicted rain fail amounts, I suggest trying something like the Weather Underground app for this.
