Update 14.4 stuck on preparing Update on iPad

I spend hours trying to figure this one out and nothing worked.

Fixed it by opening itunes on my laptop, plugging ipad in and did it through itunes, worked fine.

Quit it and restart the device and then do the update again.

It could take up to an hour.

what do i do if mine stuck in update requested?
