I have several programs on cd how can I put them on an apple air
I have a turbo tax cd that I would like to load on my apple air but there is no slot for it. how can I load it?

Use an external optical drive, copy the installation files from the CD to a USB thumb drive using a computer that has an optical drive, or see if you can download it from Intuit instead of installing from physical media.
