Notes disappeared
All but five of my notes disappeared (I had over 2,000) and so did my recently deleted folder. I have iOS 14.3 running on an iPhone XS max. Why did they disappear and how to restore?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are missing most of your notes on your iPhone. Were your notes in iCloud, another email account, or on the phone itself? Do you have a backup of your iPhone? Did you make any changes to your phone, apps, or email accounts before this issue occurred?
The most common cause of missing messages and no recently deleted folder is an email account not successfully connecting or syncing your notes. Double check you tried the steps under “Check your account settings” section of: If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
