How to add a shortcut to Wi-Fi Settings in Control Center and/or the Home Screen?

The Control Center only allows you to turn Wi-Fi on (or off), but I often need to choose the SSID after turning it on and I find it tedious to go to the Home Screen, choose Settings, choose Wi-Fi, and then choose the network every single time.

Note: I don't want to automatically join known networks because I don't want the iPad polling for Wi-Fi networks all the time while I'm traveling and sometimes I just want to work offline even when I'm near a known network.

Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, you cannot add homemade shortcuts to the Control Center. But here is how to make a direct shortcut to the WiFi settings. The shortcut will appear as an app icon on your Home Screen.

1) Find the Shortcuts app

2) Press "+" in the upper right corner

3) Add Action

4) At the top, search for "URL" and select it

5) Click where it says "apple.com" and insert this text:

prefs: root = WIFI

6) Touch the round blue "+" icon below.

7) Search for "Open URLs" and add

8) Press the three dots and give your shortcut a name, a color and an icon, after that press Add to Homes Screen, og last press Done.

Now the shortcut opens directly into the WiFi Settings.

TIP: You can also access the WiFi menu from the control center. Long press on the WiFi button and select WiFi Settings.
