Can no longer add Word document to home screen

For the past 3 months I’ve been creating Shortcuts to my ipad Home Screen for my Word documents. A week ago, it stopped working. Did something get updated? I made a new Shortcut by creating “new Shortcut”, (using FS Shortcut), opened the Apps icon in Shortcut’s side tray, and then selected the Files app which appeared below. The Files app gave me the choice of Word documents, which I selected to add to the home screen. A week ago the Files app disappeared off the Shortcuts tray and I can’t find an alternative way to get new Word documents to the Home Screen. Any ideas?
