I signed up for Apple TV+ today using my Macbook Air. I went home to use Apple TV+ and it only sends the verification code to my apple devices, not my cell phone. If I sign in via a web browser it allows me to send the verification code to my Phone.
I leave my Mac at work.
Is there a fix for this?
You can manually request a verification code on your iPhone/iPad/iPod/Mac at any time you need a code.
Click ‘Didn't get a verification code’ to have the system send a code as text message or voice call to a non-Apple phone.

Well that would work if I have them at home. I don't.
I tried using the Apple TV app on my Amazon Fire stick and my Roku. Same result, verification code sent ... to my Mac at work.
Does Apple TV+ only work if you have an Apple device nearby? That would just be silly.
Never mind, I finally got it working by bringing home an iPad. It turned out to be a waste of time anyway, the content on Apple TV+ was disappointing , not worth the effort I spent making it work.
How do I get a verification code on my phone instead of my apple device?
