Macbook Pro charging issues

A week ago, my Macbook Pro 2018 wouldn't charge. I tried all 4 thunderbolt ports with no luck.

I suspected it to be the charger ans drive to the iStore. The technician performed the SMC reset various times with no luck. At this point the machine was down to 3% battery. He recommended to send the machine to JHB; 14 day turnaround. I decided that was soo long a wait and got a different charger which worked for a week. Yesterday the machine wouldn't charge (battery was 40%) and I let it run to 20% then tried again. Nothing worked!! Tried various cables, the different chargers, nothing worked!!

The battery is dead. It's month end and I need to do a million things on a very expensive machine that won't switch on.

Please don't recommend a reset as that didn't work a week ago.

Please help!! I am NOT going to the iStore as that didn't yield results. With so many people having the same issue; something else needs to be done.

Please advice?!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15
