How to link iMessage with iPhone and iPad

I get a message on my phone and iPad. If I read it on my phone it still shows as unread on the iPad

Unable to send iMessages to myself on my iPhone X When sending a "text" message to myself using my iPhone X, it only sends SMS messages (green bubble). Apple ID for iMessage I’m using my Apple ID for iMessage it work for sending messages to other iPhone user but when I try to send to an android user it says not delivered when I try to send it again it still says the same what do I do?
