Safari Open File-Open File list view

I have a MacBookAir and and an iMac. Safari "Open File" on my MacBook uses the Finer List view while on my iMac it uses the column view. I have set the default view in both machines to List using the Finder View Options but for some reason my Safari on my iMac insists to on using the column view.

Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

Actually not the Finder rather Safari. What I want is when I select "Open File" from Safari's Fie menu to have the list view as the default instead of the column view. Safari on my MacBook Air always uses the List view but I am unable to find a way on my iMac to get to do so.

Using the button you are referring too works as long as I do not quit Safari. After I quit Safari and start it again it goes back to Column view.

List view is the default on my MacBook. Thats why I am puzzled why I could not do the same on my iMac.

Thank you for trying to help I appreciate it. However the issue is still not resolved and I am not sure where to go and get help.

This is Normal:

Your settings for sorting and arranging items in a folder apply until you change them. So, you must have made the change at some point, and it has stayed as such ever since.

Viewing These as Intended:

What are these file types? Are they Bookmarks? Or are they HTML files (Web sites) that you have authored? Safari is an application. If you want to view these in list mode, then you must include that in your HTML code.

It sounds like my question is not clear. Let me explain what i do it may help. I have a website that uses Excel sheets to present data and graphs. To do that i update my sheets and then upload them to my website. When I click on "Upload" button in my website, Safari opens a Finder like window to select the files that i want to upload. That window on my iMac opens in column view and I want it to open in List view. For some reason Safari on my MacBook uses List view while Safari on my iMac uses column view. FYI, the Finder itself I have the default set to List view.

aIt is not clear from your screen shots if you are using Finder or Safari. However I did select the List view (while using Safari or Finder) but it only works once. It does not stay as the default view. Safari reverts back to column view”

That is Finder, Accessed in Safari:

That is Finder. The screenshots dictate that if you were to click on a command button to add a file (i.e. Attachment button on an eMail site), this Finder window would pop up. You’d click the file, and click the Open button on the bottom-right corner, and then it is added as an attachment.. It doesn’t officially open it in its assigned application, but rather “opens” it as an attachment. It stays the same for me.
