Songs in Music play for about 3 minutes, then skip to the end

This is a problem that seems to pop up every now and then when playing songs on my laptop:

All songs play to about 2:54, then skip to the end instantly. So the song is playing fine, then just abruptly ends and the next song begins. If I skip around the song, I can hear any part of it fine, including parts that would normally play after 2:54, but if I start the track at 2:50, it will end in 4 seconds.

This is currently happening with an album I just bought from Bandcamp and added to Music, but it's happened a lot in the past with previous albums and still wont let me play them all the way through. I deleted the album from the Music library, then added it again, but it is still doing this glitch.

I had this happen for about a month in the past where all new albums, including ones bought directly from Apple, would skip after 2:54. I hoped the problem was gone, since newer albums no longer do this, but it appears the problem is back for some reason.

Other songs that I bought and added earlier this week seem fine, but some of the songs I had trouble with a few months ago are still having this same bug where they only play for 2:54. This problem affects a significant amount of my Music library, but only seems to happen when I play the songs in the laptop.

I've seen several other users reporting a similar issue and read through the suggestions in those threads, like running the reset tracks start/stop script from https://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=mxresettracksstartstop , but none of those suggestions have helped me.

I'm on OS 10.15.7 running Music 1.0.6.10
