I am able to play the trailer for a film but when I attempt to play the movie itself, it plays only sound without video

On Apple TV I am able to play the trailer for a film on my smart TV but when I attempt to play the movie itself, it plays only sound without video. An error message says there is no internet connection but I have an internet connection for Netflix, Amazon, etc. Perhaps there’s a way to specifically make an internet connection to Apple TV?
