New Quicktime & iMovie Editing and Usage Problems

Why does the new Quicktime suck so much compared to QT7, which was much more user friendly when it came to editing? With the new QT, it takes HELLA more clips and cuts to simply edit a video, and its frustrating and makes QT7 still more relevant than this new piece of crap version of QT. With upgrades to these programs, these tasks are supposed to be less of a pain in the ***, not more. Also, why does the new iMovie take so long exporting a 5 min video, no effects, and at lower resolution? Why does it require a 'Safe Mode' start up to run? So far the new Big Sur/Catalina downgrade has been a big Doodoo. I lost my favorite programs and have had to buy crumby substitutes to make up for your technological failures and impotence. In short, why does your new Catalina/Big Sur stuff suck, and if your objective is to upgrade and advance, then how does making your programs suck more help meet that goal?
