Im trying to record movies from an analogue camcorder connected to my MAC using quicktime. Each time i run a tape and start recording quicktime stops recording after a few seconds. I have tried a different tape and it does the same thing after a short while. Quicktime is recording these short sections and we can play them back on the MAC. Any ideas please?

We see you're attempting to record movies in Quicktime from an analog camcorder, however Quicktime stops recording shortly after it starts.
Do you receive any specific error or message when Quicktime stops recording? Also, are these the steps being used?
While we understand the intent is to use Quicktime with your camcorder, if you attempt to record using the built-in camera on your Mac or via an iOS device, does it work then?
