How do you type a broken vertical bar on mac?

1. Select Emojis & Symbols from the menu
2. Click the little icon to the top right of the window; it will show expanded symbols
3. In the Punctuation list, select the ¦ character (3rd column, 6th row on my iMac)

Try holding down Option Key and typing 221. That works on Windows, but I’m on my iPhone and don’t have a Mac to try it on.

Hold down the shift key and tap the | key at the far right of P key on the keyboard, tap return, repeat.

I thought that was too obvious or easy!

I just checked Edit menu > Emojis and Symbols and didn't find it there either. Sorry. Hopefully someone else has an answer.
