I can’t plug charger into port. Looks like it is blocked

I would suggest that you contact Apple Support to have the device examined. It is possible that you have something blocking it and attempts to correct that could damage the port. Use the Contact Support link at the top of the page here, or if you have an Apple Store close by, make a Genius Bar appointment.
