How to change the download bit rate
I am buying tracks from the ITunes store however the bitrate of these tracks are terrible. How do I change the download quality to .wav or at least 320?
Thank you in advance!!!!

You cannot change the bitrate or format that the iTunes Store supplies purchases in, it will always be 256K AAC. The import settings affect CD rips or tracks you convert from one format to another. There are other stores that supply tracks in higher bitrates.

Are you actually hearing quality issues? In the store preferences you can choose a number of different bitrate options although I think the highest quality available is 256. But keep in mind that iTunes uses AAC, not mp3, and at least in most double blind tests 256 kbps AAC is indistinguishable from the source wav file.
Hello DJEfinity,
Assuming the "DJ" in your name is literal, I suggest you forget the iTunes Store check out more DJ-oriented music download sites such as Beatport.com and JunoDownload.com. I can confirm that Juno offers WAV as an option, and I believe Beatport does the same.
Yep, also bandcamp.com (which offers FLAC), and much of the stuff on that site is under a Creative Commons license and thus can be legally used in remixes.
Very much so. The 256 kbps output when ran through rekordbox (this is a pioneer DJ software) sounds poor and when mashed with a 320 kbps or worse a .wav file is rough.
Lossy audio isn't really intended to be used in remixes, but neither is stuff that's downloaded from the iTunes Music Store.
