I just bought a new MacBook Pro with Touch ID. I set up a password that I didn't bother remembering because I thought my Touch ID would become my password. Now I can't get on to change my password . How can I start over with new password

As you have found, even with Touch ID you still need to occasionally use your login password; it is needed every time you restart your Mac.
