Brand new mac air. It is asking for password to use Touch ID. I do not know it. How can I reset it?

Touch ID Password I am getting a "Touch ID requires your password when MacBook Pro restarts." Does not allow me to get a chance to reset the password. I never set up Touch ID. Need help bypassing this error and getting into my MacBook. I am new to MacBook Pro.
