Using earphones on the iPad Air 4

Hello. I tried to use my earphones on my new iPad Air 4 using a USB-C to earphone jack connector, but the sound still continued to come out from the iPad speakers itself. I tried again with the iPad cover off, with another pair of earphones and another connector as well. But all of the sound still came out from the iPad speakers. What should I do?

This is the adapter that should work:--> https://www.apple.com/us-hed/shop/product/MU7E2AM/A/usb-c-to-35-mm-headphone-jack-adapter

or an adapter MFI (Made for iPhone/iPad) certified.

But, if you tried many adapters and headphones, something might be wrong with your iPad Air 4 port.

Since your device is still covered by warranty, make an appointment an have it inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service provider:--> Apple – Location Selector
