What happened to the feature that allowed you to pick a song for your alarm? Was this option removed with the latest iOS?

I used to be able to select a song from my library as the sound for my alarm. I don’t see this feature anymore. Was it removed with the latest iOS?

using shortcut "play sound" to play custom sound other than the defualt ringtone So, when you click "Choose Variable" after expanding the "play sound" shortcut you are only givent the following options "Clipboard", "Current Date", "Device Details" and "Shortcut Input", it seams like none of those options allow you to choose the sound file you'd to play. what to do now?

No, it still exists.

The song needs to be on the device and not on iCloud see the pic below for the Alarm clock to play a song.
