I recently purchased a remanned iMac from 2015. I wanted to authorize it to download my Apple Music but it said I already had 5 authorized. One was a Mac Mini I no longer use and a PC linked to iCloud I rarely use. so I deauthorizeed them but I still can't authorize my Music. I went through all Community questions and no solutions worked for me.

You cannot see your authorizations anywhere, only your associations. If you deauthorize all then the authorization count will go from 5 to 0. Try again.

I tried all that and it still won't allow me to authorize the iMac. The iMac shows under accounts authorized but Apple Music on the iMac doesn't recognize this iMac as authorized and still sees 5 authorizations when the Finder shows 3. Not sure if I should call Apple Care or not.
I tried with the instructions you sent but I don't think these are Big Sur related. Nothing works.
I was able FINALLY to unauthize all and authorize the iMac. Doesn't seem to have affected my iPhone and will check the iPad later. Thanks!@
