You need to use a USB-C port on your Mac.
If you don't have one use the older charger and cable.
Hello, thanks but I am usinng a USB-C port but it will not connect. I am getting an error msg on computer saying "This file cannot be found"
Why is it looking for a file?
It should show in the Sidebar of a Finder window.
