I want to be able to draw within a web app on safari (like whiteboardfox.com) using the pencil to do real time collaboration and want to make sure palm protect works in this environment

i don't not believe it is possible to markup a “live” Webpage OR Webapp using the Apple Pencil.
You could take a series of consecutive screenshots of the Webpage/Webapp and mark THAT up, ( as a static image ), but marking up actual live Webpages or a Web app, no.

I'm not actually looking for markup, but rather direct input - these apps generally allow for direct free form input as part of their functionality (for example drawing with my finger) which I'm trying to find out if they will also work with the stylus pencil for more precision
All you can do is simply try it yourself to find out.
