Payment verification required: stuck in a loop: ManagePayments.ApplePay.TwoFactorNeeded.Dialog_message

I'm in a loop with this message. I cannot rent movies in Apple T.V. because of a message demanding that I look at another device to verify payment. Here's the error message: ManagePayments.ApplePay.TwoFactorNeeded.Dialog_message


I have no way of verifying payment because I continue to get this error message.

The problem was not with two-factor authentication. Apple support showed me how to fix the problem: Because I had changed my Apple ID some time before my attempt to rent a movie, I was denied the rental because I hadn't yet updated the verification of my payment method (something I didn't know--how would I?). To do the update to my payment method verification, I had to add an additional payment method, and then delete the payment method I was using. To get back to the original payment method, I re-entered it, and then deleted the additional payment method. I can now rent and purchase stuff on the credit card I had been using before. I guess you'd call this a "work around" (and around, and around, ...).

Using Apple Pay as a payment method for your Apple ID (in supported regions) requires two-factor authentication.

You will need to have set up two-factor authentication with its trusted secondary device on which to receive verification codes.
