My screen makes noises when scrolling

On my iPad 8, if something moves on the screen of if I scroll, it makes a noise, like a buzzing - very silent but you can hear it if you listen closely. I‘m not sure if this is normal or if I should go to an Apple Store?

Hi Marv1n_14,

Thanks for posting! It's always good to look into any unexpected sounds, and we'd like to see how we can help out with this. As we understand it, you hear a faint buzzing sound when you scroll on your iPad; is that right?

Do you feel any physical vibration or feedback when this is happening?

Does it happen with all apps?

Also, does it happen consistently, or is it intermittent?

As another possibility, have you noticed if this happens when your iPad is connected to a charger, not connected, or both?

Let us know! The answers to the above will help in working out what could be causing that sound.

Kindest regards.

Hey,

thanks for your reply.

Yes, that's correct, I hear a buzzing sound when I scroll on my iPad.

I will just answer the questions in the row you asked them:

  1. No physical vibration or feedback, just the sound.
  2. it happens with all apps.
  3. it happens consistently - if something on the screen moves, you can hear it.
  4. it happens anytime, connected to the charger or not connected.
