It's possible resetting or unpairing and re-pairing resolves the issue. Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
It is also possible there is some kind of interference nearby. Have a look here: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference.
Have you ever tried testing music with a Bluetooth speaker? This could help isolate the issue to either your iPhone or your earbuds. Testing the earbuds with another device could also help isolate the issue.
