I want to change the messenger single ping to a different sound because I keep missing the ping or I can't hear it because of my hearing the text sound is different than the messenger ping and I would like to change the messenger single ping to the same sound as the text sound of classic alert. does anyon know how or if I can do this thanks.

If you're asking about Apple's Messages app, you can select your preferred text sound in Settings>Sounds & Haptics>Text Tone. There are many options, including the "Classic" alerts.
If your asking about Messenger, best to consult Facebook support on that one. Not all third party apps allow you to change alert sounds.

I'm not sure but I think it might be the app from facebook and all I can do is turn it on or off so I guess I am stuck thanks
