Prevent teen from turning off location

There used to be an option in Restrictions to disallow a child from turning his/her location off. For safety reasons, I’d like to have the locations always on for my teen’s phone. It doesn’t seem to be an option in the current version of Screen Time.

My Google search results say it’s in Content & Restrictions, but I don’t see it (screenshot attached). The only option there is allowing/disallowing the person the share their location, which is not what I need. Any ideas?

Thanks, but that isn’t what I am looking for. Currently, he can turn his location off regardless of whether his location is shared with apps. It’s two separate settings.

I don’t have all of the options you mentioned, which is likely the cause of the issue.

Under Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Location Services > Share My Location, is "Share My Location" enabled?

yes

Under Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Location Services, do you have "Don't Allow Changes" selected?

****i don’t have this option****

Under Settings > Maps, is "Cellular Data" enabled?

yes

Under Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, is "Cellular Data Changes" set to "Don't Allow"?

yes

Did you make sure that the user of the device is not aware of the Screen Time passcode?

yes

BettyB654,

Thank you for confirming. We recommend updating your iPhone if you haven’t. While it isn't inherently assured that an update will resolve the issue, updating to the latest version of iOS for your device can help isolate potential software issues and ensure that you have the correct features. Kindly secure a backup and update.

These configurations may help ensure that the user of the device is not able to make any changes on the device settings to get around the "Share My Location" feature.
