Dear Apple-TV Community,

I received a promotional email from: "appletv@insideapple.apple.com", though my apple account is unsubscribed from the three existing "Current Email Subscription Preference" options:

(no) Announcements Get announcements, recommendations, and updates about Apple products, services, and software.

(no) Apps, Music, TV, and More Get new releases, exclusive content, special offers, and recommendations for apps, music, movies, TV, books, podcasts, Apple Pay, Apple Card and more.

(no) Apple News Updates

Since I was already unsubscribed, I write here to request that I not receive promotional emails like this in the future. In principle, I don't like receiving unsolicited emails from companies who choose not to field emails themselves.

Apologies if there's a more suitable forum for this request— evidently I wasn't able to find it in good time.

Kind Regards,

Bob

This is a user-to-user forum. Posting here doesn’t change email preferences.

“It might take up to five days to start or stop receiving messages, depending on your request.”

This seems to be a catch-all unsubscriber: https://mynews.apple.com/subscriptions (“all Apple email communications”).

I don’t know that you mean by that. The email is from Apple themselves (apple.com domain, through Apple servers).

I have one email from that address, and it was the welcome message a few days after sign-up to Apple TV+. As I subscribed, the follow-up email would be considered solicited email.

I understand reminders for the free offer to eligible users, are also send from that address. So that users get a last chance to redeem before the offer expires. That message would technically not be an email subscription, as a one-off.
